Group Meeting: At Family Night, some children brought their family picture to add to our tree. We would like to have a picture from every family. If you have not done so, please send one.
Story: The story for today was A Pocket for Corduroy by Dan Freemann. Before I read the story, we recalled the story Corduroy from last week. In today's story, Corduroy goes with Lisa to the laundromat (we stopped to talk about laundromats). When Corduroy hears Lisa's mom tell her to empty her pockets, he realizes that he does not have a pocket. He goes on a search for something to use to make a pocket. In his search, he gets lost in a bag of wet laundry. When it's time for Lisa to go home, she cannot find him. Ask your child to tell you where Lisa finds Corduroy.
Small Groups: The activities for this week are listed in Monday's post. The schedule for today was:
Activity #1 Green Group
Activity #2 Red Group
Activity #3 Yellow Group
Letter Learning: The children practiced making big lines and little lines while tracing fence posts and bird legs.
Large Group: The children went to the Outdoor Classroom.
Snacks: The morning snack was cheese, wheat thins, grapes, and milk brought by Grace. The afternoon snack was yogurt, Belvita bars and milk brought by Ian. Thank you, Grace and Ian!
