Group Meeting: The first thing that we did today was take a class picture. I think the picture will be really nice. After that, the children went 3 at a time with Mrs. Lehenbauer to get their picture taken while the rest of the class proceeded with our usual activities.
Story: The story for today was Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes. Chrysanthemum is the name of a little girl. Her parents gave her that name because they thought it was a perfect name for a perfect girl. Chrysanthemum loved her name until she started school. The children thought her name was different and teased her about being named after a flower. Now, Chrysanthemum does not like her name until she meets Mrs. Twinkle. Everyone loves Mrs. Twinkle. When she hears them tease Chrysanthemum, she tells them that her first name is Delphinium. When Mrs. Twinkle has a baby, she gives it a special name. Ask your child to tell you what it is.

Letter Learning: The children drew Mat Man one more time. This time, they drew it in their Writing Journal.
Large Group: The children learned a new game that we call Four Corners. Ask your child to tell you how to play.
Snacks: The morning snack was waffles, cantaloupe, and juice brought by Hattie. The afternoon snack was cheese sticks and juice brought by Isabelle. Thank you, Hattie and Isabelle!
Family Night is tonight from 6:30-7:30 pm. See you then!
